Sweet Cane Inn was built for Congressman Phanor Breazeale in the late 1800’s. Among its many unique features, Sweet Cane Inn’s stately presence boasts of 12 foot ceilings, 11 fireplaces, and wall of stained glassed windows at the top of the stairs which curve and lead to six beautifully spacious rooms and suites.

Breakfast is served from 8:30 AM until 10:00 AM, with Community Coffee out at 8:00 AM.

Wonderful Time at the Sweet Cane Inn
We chose The Sweet Cane Inn in Natchitoches, LA. We are so glad we did. It was not only our first visit to Natchitoches but also our first stay at a B&B. From the moment we pulled into the drive, we were in awe. The house has such charm. The innkeeper, Kimberly, is such a sweetheart. There were other cars there so we know there were others staying there as well, but it was so quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the Oleander suite. Absolutely gorgeous! The room temperature was set at a nice cool temperature when we arrived. The bed was so comfortable that we both slept like babies. Kimberly’s breakfast was delicious. I just can’t say enough about her cheesecake pancakes. The location is walking distance to the historic district. It was such a nice get away for us. We will most certainly be back at the Sweet Cane Inn.

Absolutely Fabulous
My husband and I have never stayed at a B&B before and we're worried that no other will compare, now. The Sweet Cane Inn has set the bar high with the awesome experience we had! If you need/want a relaxing, peaceful getaway with the opportunity to see so much history or do nothing at all and not feel guilty bout it, all while being treated like royalty and having amazing breakfasts...this is the place for you! Southern charm and hospitality at it's finest!!! We will definitely be back!

FABULOUS Birthday Get-Away!!
This property is everything a B&B should be. Large, comfortable rooms, generous breakfast, nice public areas for visiting, great location and the most accommodating hosts and innkeeper you could ask for. A Sweet Deal
The Sweet Cane Inn is my favorite destination for a delightful getaway and a quiet stay. It's a great place when you want some downtime from the city, but in a relaxed, comfortable, homey environment. This Victorian era home has been nicely restored and features the amenities you would expect of a top notch B&B. Rooms are cozy, super clean, and comfortable... it's so comfortable and quiet that it's easy to miss breakfast, which is something you must get downstairs and enjoy. Breakfast features a little bit of everything, including multiple hot options, and rotates each morning. Kimberly, the innkeeper, is so friendly and helpful, as are owners John and Kathy. You are a very short walk to the Front Street area for the shops of this quaint, charming Southern town, or you can enjoy a book and a glass of wine on the wrap around porch. If you are a fan of charming, historical B&Bs, you will love The Sweet Cane!
